Seasonal Appliance Maintenance Checklist for Ottawa Homes
Simple manufacturer-safe checks for dryer airflow, fridge ventilation, washer hoses, dishwasher filters, range condition, and appliance access.
Laundry area
Clean the dryer lint screen every load, inspect the visible transition duct for crushing, and confirm that the exterior vent opens during operation. Look at washer hoses and shutoffs for swelling, corrosion, moisture, or difficult access. Follow the manufacturer cleaning cycle and detergent guidance.

Kitchen appliances
